Privacy Policy
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for these URLs only:
- alamedamp.com
- ecare.alamedamp.com
Note: This site contains links to other sites. These links are provided only as a service to customers. AMP is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. By using this site, you consent to our collection and use of the information as specified here.
Information Gathering
We track user traffic patterns throughout the site using log file analysis and Google Analytics. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We do break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).
Emails
If you send email to Alameda Municipal Power, your email address may be shared with others within the Alameda Municipal Power organization as necessary to deal with any questions or issues that may arise. Depending on the nature of your message (i.e, a report of a service problem), it may be necessary to share your email address with a third party.
Online Bill Pay
AMP customers have the option of paying their electric service bills online. Using this feature of the site requires that the customer log in with the account number and a password. Credit card or electronic check information is then required from the customer. This transaction is protected by encryption. The credit card or checking information collected is used to pay only the amount that the customer authorizes and is not retained.
Submitting Feedback
Customers may send feedback about our products and services. Any feedback submitted to Alameda Municipal Power (a Department of the City of Alameda) is a public record. As with all public records, we are required to make the content of such feedback available if requested to do so.
Information Dissemination
AMP does not disclose, share, or sell customer information with any third party except as necessary to provide service to collect payment for AMP services if we are legally bound to do so, such as when we receive a request from law enforcement.

No personally identifiable information about visitors is collected. If you wish to disable cookies, it will not affect your ability to use the site, except as noted above.
