Update from the Northern California Power Agency

ALAMEDA, CA – Update from the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA): After an interruption in NCPA’s geothermal facilities’ operations due to the Kincade Fire, and a subsequent determination that it is safe to resume power generation, NCPA Geothermal Plant #2 resumed normal plant operations at approximately 12:30 AM this morning (November 5, 2019).

NCPA Geothermal Plant #1 is generation-ready and will resume normal operations once PG&E completes its mandatory safety inspections and re-energizes its transmission lines.

All NCPA employees and contractors remain safe and accounted for, as CAL FIRE and local officials have lifted all mandatory evacuation orders and warnings related to the Kincade Fire.
