Outage Under Investigation
Alameda, California, April 5, 2011 - Power was restored within 12 minutes to the approximate 15,000 Alameda Municipal Power customers affected by an outage this morning. At this time, the cause of the outage remains under investigation; however, the focus of AMP's attention includes lines in the area of Park Street and Clement Avenue. The outage began at 7:33 a.m. and affected all customers east of Sherman Street on the main island and all Bay Farm Island customers. Power was restored at 7:45 a.m. when AMP line crews switched to alternate circuitry.
