Planned Power Outage - January 17, 2012

This morning, January 17, 2012, Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) determined that repairs need to be made immediately to a small section of our distribution system on Bay Farm Island that delivers electricity to selected homes.  The repair work is necessary to replace equipment damaged in the Sunday, January 15, 2012 service interruption.

AMP workers will be required to shut off electricity to meters/homes during the repair work, which will begin at approximately 11am.

The streets affected include: Azaela, Begonia, Dahlia, Gardenia Terrace, Island, and Camelia.

It is anticipated that the repair work could require 3 hours to complete, but that time could be extended based on field conditions noted during the repair effort. We apologize for the inconvenience.

For more information on this situation, or about special accommodations during service interruptions, please consult the AMP website at, or call customer service at 748-3900.
