Notice of Eligibility for Compensation or Credit for Net Surplus Electricity for Net Metered Customers
Effective January 1, 2010, in accordance with Assembly Bill 920 , net energy metering customers of Alameda Municipal Power may be eligible for future compensation or credit of net surplus electricity generated at their premises. Eligible customer-generators should have received notification in the mail. In order to receive compensation or credit, net surplus customer-generators must elect to receive either:
(A) net surplus electricity compensation on a dollar per kilowatt-hour basis or
(B) credit in kilowatt-hours of net surplus electricity on the bill for electricity subsequently supplied by AMP.

, available for download, and return it to Alameda Municipal Power, by any of the following methods:

If you choose to make an election and your PV system is already connected to the grid, AMP will start the first 12-month period on the day after we receive this form. For example, if AMP receives your election form on February 15, 2010, the first 12-month period for net surplus electricity compensation purposes will start on February 16, 2010, and run through February 15, 2011. If you choose to make an election and your PV system is not already connected to the grid, AMP will start the first 12-month period on the day of interconnection. If you do not make an election, then AMP will not be obligated to compensate or issue any bill credit to you, and AMP will retain any net surplus electricity generated.
The rate of compensation currently in effect is $0.06301 per kilowatt-hour of net surplus electricity. If you have any further questions, please contact AMP at (510) 814-6413.
