AMP Green Powerstar Awards
Once again, Alameda Municipal Power is on the lookout for the Green Powerstars in our community. This is a chance to show how environmentally aware you are by nominating your business, home, or student(s) for a 2012 AMP GREEN POWERSTAR AWARD.
Four Award Categories
Large Business
- Customers over 8,000 kWh/month of usage
- A2, A3, or A4 Rate Schedule
Small Business
- Customers under 8,000 kWh/month of usage
- A1 Rate Schedule
Home (Owned or Rental)
- D1 Rate Schedule
Student(s)

Student (individual, school, classroom, or organization)Student (individual, school, classroom, or organization)
Eligibility
Businesses, residences, young adults and children located in the City of Alameda and implementing energy efficiency, environmental and green power activities.
Criteria
- Awards will be given for all around efforts to support energy efficiency, energy savings and greener power use.
- Special considerations will be given for new, innovative energy saving strategies
- Other approaches (beyond electric efficiency) to meeting environmental challenges to make a greener community will also be taken into cosideration (i.e., heating, water, recycling, etc.)
- Efforts must have been completed or started in 2011.
And the Winner Is...
Winners will be selected in mid-March and presented at the City of Alameda 2012 Earth Day Festival.

The deadline for nominations is March 26, 2011.
