AUSD Audits and Rebates
AMP cares about our City's schools. It has provided energy-efficiency rebates totaling $126,332 to help the AUSD complete energy-efficiency retrofits to all school facilities, and these retrofits save $236,371 in energy costs per year. The District has saved $2.2 million in energy costs since 1995.
Comprehensive AUSD Energy-Efficiency Audit Now Available
AMP is proud to have facilitated a recently completed Comprehensive Energy-Efficiency Audit of all Alameda Unified School District facilities. The District is one of AMP's largest customers, and AMP truly values its long-standing partnership with the AUSD.
Funding for the program was provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (stimulus bill). The audit identifies and prioritizes energy-efficiency measures by their costs and benefits and offers best-practices strategies for energy-efficiency operations and maintenance.
The audit includes an analysis of mechanical equipment and lighting measures that could be deployed throughout AUSD facilities to control and help reduce energy demand and associated costs. Also, AMP has various rebate programs to assist in this effort and help offset costs.
