Economic Development Incentive Discount (EDID)
The Economic Development Incentive Discount (EDID) is made available to qualifying businesses for the purpose of business attraction or facility expansion. DETERMINATION OF ELIGIBILITY SHALL BE MADE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL POWER.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• New businesses locating to Alameda, or expanding existing businesses expanding within Alameda, where a location outside of Alameda was
seriously considered.
• General Service customer as defined under the EDID Schedule.
• Annual peak demand of at least 50 kW (excluding extreme seasonal peak electric load).
• Electric costs are material to your site selection decision.
• Individually separate metering at the customer’s premise.
• No co-generation, self-generation, or electricity from source other than AMP.
• Signed Agreement and accepting the terms and conditions of the EDID regulations, including term for continuing to locate in Alameda.
