Renewable Power Resources
Our power portfolio is currently 60% clean and renewable, and is a major reason that the City of Alameda is the lowest greenhouse-gas-emitting community in Alameda County.
Environmental responsibility and the drive to provide reliable power at reasonable rates have been the major criteria in power resource selection in Alameda for the past 30 years.
During this time, AMP has assembled a renewable portfolio including geothermal, hydroelectric, wind, landfill gas, and solar facilities.
Additionally, contracting for power under long-term contracts allows AMP to reduce its risk to volatile energy markets, and provide attractive electric rates to its customers.
