AMP Residential Rates 


Your residential rates are determined by your primary heat source (electric or gas). Monthly usage is divided into tiers and each tier has a corresponding rate for the summer and winter seasons and is prorated based on a 30-day billing cycle.

Example 1: Summer Billing - Primary Heating: Gas - Total usage = 420 KwH

Of the 420 kwhs, 259 kwhs will be charged the Tier 1 rate (0.10837) and the remaining 77 kwhs will be charged the Tier 2 rate (0.17437), and the remaining 84 kwhs will be charged the Tier 3 rate (0.26464)

Example 2: Winter Billing - Primary Heating: Electric - Total usage = 617 KwH

Of the 617 kwhs, 581 kwhs will be charged the Tier 1 rate (0.10837) and the remaining 36 kwhs will be charged the Tier 2 rate (0.17437)


Residential Electric Rate Schedules


This schedule is applicable to single-phase residential service for single-family dwellings and multi-family
dwellings separately metered by Alameda Municipal Power.

D-2 Multi-family Residential Service

This schedule is applicable to residential service supplied to multi-family accommodations through one master
meter on a single premise. This schedule is closed to new installations.
