Supporting Education

AMP recognizes the importance of education within the community.

• Energy-efficiency projects in the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) and College of Alameda, as well as AMP’s lower rates, free dollars for direct educational resources.
• AMP also partners with the AUSD to offer “Power Up for Learning,” a unique vehicle allowing direct customer contributions to the AUSD.
• AMP augments this financial support with classroom presentations and teacher training, technology seminars, and special energy-education projects.

AMP energy-efficiency advisory services and technology rebates help control utility costs and ensure maximum funding is available for Alameda academics of all ages.  And both students and instructors gain from a better environment in which to learn and to teach.  We also are able to partner with local educational institutions in novel programs and projects.  Through our involvement in education, we seek to engage not just today’s energy consumers but also the utility owners and operators of tomorrow.
