The benefits of energy-efficiency, investment in renewable resources, research and development, and services to low-income consumers flow to everyone. They not only add to Alameda's unique quality of life, they also flow beyond our City's borders. As a municipal utility, we have a special obligation to ensure that you, your neighbors, and our entire community prosper. You own AMP, and you're leading the way in Public Benefits Programs.

Well before the State mandated that other utilities do likewise, you, through your municipal utility, invested in programs to benefit the community that continue to grow today. AMP programs provide education, information, and incentives for power consumers. A continual top priority at AMP is seeking new means of providing power in the most environmentally responsible manner possible. We also support research to provide power and ensure that it is used cleanly and efficiently. Through our partnership with the Red Cross, low-income customers and others needing temporary assistance have additional resources. We share your dedication to our community.
