Lighting retrofits can:
- AMP is working with local contractors as a way to increase the energy efficiency of your lighting and make program participation fast and easy.
- The program rebates are aggressive and time limited.
- Contractors earn an additional incentive of $250 per completed project for small commercial customers on AMP’s A-1 electric rate.
- This is a pilot program; the funding is limited.
Eligibilty
- AMP’s Commercial Lighting Pilot Program is available to customers with a valid AMP commercial account.
- This program has a limited budget. Reservations for funds will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- All projects must be completed within 90 days of AMP approval.
- Applications received without a reservation will only beapproved if unencumbered funds are available.
- Deadline to submit an Application is May 31, 2012.
- This program will run until funds are spent or until
- May 31, 2012, whichever comes first.
- Funds are not guaranteed; please make your fundreservation prior to purchasing materials and beginningwork.
Requirements
- Rebate items must be installed on the AMP account listed on the application.
- In no case will the utility pay more than 100% of the actual non-taxed net purchase price of any specific retrofit to be rebated.
- Equipment must meet the technical requirements listed in this application. AMP reserves the right to withhold payment for products that do not meet the requirements
- Applicants must have a valid AMP account and projects must be installed on the account listed on the application form.
- AMP reserves the right to require photometric layout details prior to reserving or paying rebate funds.
- AMP must complete a pre and post installation inspection for each application to verify the existing and installed materials listed on the rebate application.
- You will be contacted by AMP regarding project approval.
- Installing contractors must follow proper disposal and recycling procedures with removed materials.
- Resale of removed equipment is prohibited.
Contractor Information
- Approved rebates will be paid directly to the installing contractors or to the customer.
- For the small commercial customers on the A1 electric rate the contractor incentive is $250 per completed project site.
- Eligible contractors must be licensed in the State of California, have a City of Alameda Business License and current C-10 electrical contractor license.
- If the retrofit project does not meet AMP’s Technical Requirements and if the installation is not satisfactory to the customer, AMP will not pay the rebate or contractor incentive.
