Sunshine Ahead!

AMP Solar Rebates Bring Projects to Light

solar_house

Solar energy is growing in importance within the AMP power profile, as we move ahead on community and customer solar installations.  The solar contribution to Alameda's energy mix from projects within the City is approaching a half a megawatt. To put this in perspective, our peak for all of last year was 72 megawatts.

As the summer progresses, we'll be reporting on projects such as the Shinsei Gardens complex in the Bayport community, a soon-to-be-completed large commercial installation, a solar plan for the Alameda Main Library, and more.  In the meantime though, don't forget that YOU can be a part of the solar solution, too!  AMP offers substantial rebates that could pay well over half the cost of a residential solar installation.  But more than half of the funds budgeted for calendar 2010 already are committed.

Don't stay in the shadows.  Click here to learn more.
